NEW PRE BOOK SYSTEM

After today's SVCC committee meeting it has been decided that from the start of young bird racing the Saxon Valley will introduce a pre booking system.

This will be in place for the first 5 young bird races and will then be reviewed afterwards.

This means that all club members will need to provide an estimated amount of pigeons (Cocks & Hens) they are sending to their club secretaries on Wednesday afternoon and the secretaries will need to relay that information over to the SVCC secretary or in the secretaries WhatsApp group by 7pm.

Although we understand not all members will know exactly how many birds they will be sending, we require this information to determine how many birds will be put in each crate for that weekend's race. We will also be taking into consideration the temperature forecasted for that weekend.

This has been put in place to hopefully resolve some overcrowding issues that some members have raised.

However on a side note to this we would like to remind members that the rules which are set by RPRA calculate the max number of birds recommended for this size aluminium crates is 30.

Part crates will be required to be Topped up to the decided number which will be given to club secretaries before marking.

It has also been decided that any temperatures over 30 degrees forecasted, the race will be cancelled, this is in line with DEFRA and APHA on transportation of animals.
